About IJAPLett

Iraqi Journal of Applied Physics Letters (IJAPLett)

The Iraqi Journal of Applied Physics Letters (IJAPLett) is a peer-reviewed journal of high quality devoted to the publication of original research papers from applied physics and their broad range of applications. IJAPLett publishes quality original research letters in physics and its applications in the broadest sense. It is intended that the journal may act as an interdisciplinary forum for physics and its applications. Innovative applications and material that brings together diverse areas of physics are particularly welcome. IJAPLett aims to disseminate knowledge; provide a learned reference in the field; and establish channels of communication between academic and research experts, policymakers, and executives in industry, commerce and investment institutions. IJAPLett is a quarterly specialized periodical dedicated to publishing original letters in Applied & Nonlinear Optics, Applied Mechanics & Thermodynamics, Digital & Optical Communications, Electronic Materials & Devices, Laser Physics & Applications, Plasma Physics & Applications, Quantum Physics & Spectroscopy, Semiconductors & Optoelectronics, Solid State Physics & Applications, Alternative & Renewable Energy, and Environmental Science & Technology.

A brief history

In 2008, this journal was derived from the Iraqi Journal of Applied Physics (IJAP) to publish research letters in the same disciplines dedicated by IJAP. Three volumes of this journal were issued before the editorial board decided to stop issuing the journal due to the refusal of a number of Iraqi universities to recognize the published letters for the purposes of academic promotions. Later, because of the urgent need for this platform by the scientific research community in Iraq, the editorial board decided to reissue the journal again, starting in January 2021.
